Random facts about me: I was born and raised in Russia, but strangely enough, I always knew I didn't belong there I've been to 24 countries My favorite city is Saint-Petersburg and my favorite country is Italy I would spend all my money on books and travels I can't live without coffee I love dancing And even more, I love driving!!! I would choose a bag of chips over a cake My motto is "Live your dream"
As a kid, I was a nerdy tomboy who devoured books and played kickball in the street. I used to page through my dad’s dusty old National Geographic magazines, falling in love with certain pictures. I would clip out my favourites with scissors and remix them as collages. … A marble statue jutting out of a black lava field. A boy with grimy hands holding a bouquet of radishes. A girl changing the oil under her pickup truck. A fisherman’s wrinkled grin. … I think looking through those pictures is when I first fell in love with photos. I didn’t start taking photos until I was an adult. While working as a French-to-English translator, I enrolled in an evening photography class for fun. And got hooked.
Before becoming a family and lifestyle portrait photographer, I was a parenting scientist. I got a PhD, analyzing thousands of mothers playing with their babies and I learned to notice tiny changes in facial expressions, small movements, and family dynamics. These are important to my photography today. I now live on an acreage near Kingston, with my husband, three children, and a menagerie of animals. My days are spent with the crow of roosters out the window, while I drink ALL the coffee and spread the joy of loving your life, loving your real self, and being forgiving of yourself as a parent.
Rick uses his 20-year career as a photojournalist as the backbone to producing both stunning portraits and emotional moments. He lives with his wife Cheryl and their two boys just outside of Vancouver in a turn-of-the-century farmhouse.
Hi, I’m Ashley Soeder. An internationally recognized and award winning lifestyle/documentary family photographer, located in Rouleau Saskatchewan, serving Southern Saskatchewan. Photography found me shortly after the birth of my second daughter. Sitting on the floor with my children, watching them build with blocks, or play with their favourite toy I began to notice how when the light shone through the window and touched down on them, it created an almost magical moment. I began to become aware of the light and soon found myself framing photographs with my mind wherever I went. I picked up my first DSLR camera in 2014 and have been chasing the light and soaking up every bit of knowledge ever since. With a dedication and commitment to learning I am always taking workshops and courses to further improve my skills and help push my creativity. I spend sessions capturing your family, the connections, the moments, the relationships, the small gestures. I lead clients through sessions allowing space and freedom to explore and be yourselves. I want to help you remember all of the little details that make your family unique. I want to capture the real and honest moments, your everyday life moments, the fun, the silliness, the quiet, and loud moments. Capturing those moments when their little hand reaches for yours, celebrating small milestones, and letting your true personalities shine. Whether it’s the big moments or the small ones, in-home sessions or the park adventures. The real faces, the tiny gestures, and little details. I want to help you preserve all the details and memories that make your family what it is today.
Long before I was a photographer, I was a Social Worker and earned my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Calgary in 2004. I have worked in very demanding fields like Alberta Children’s Services where I wore several hats from Investigator to Case Manager to Family Enhancement Worker to Kinship Care Worker. Next, I moved into a position with Alberta Health Services with high needs psychiatric patients where my job was to place these patients in facilities that would meet their needs, but in Alberta, we are short of these facilities creating a high stress and very urgent environment. These positions taught me the virtue of patience, honesty and caring when dealing with tough and stressful situations; though nothing prepared me for Motherhood when I brought home three screaming infants to a very confused 2.5-year-old. I had to learn to adapt to difficult and stressful situations, emotions and moments that I never thought I would have to – but somehow we managed and had thrived in our little community and everyone is growing, happy and healthy. I have worked with hundreds of people over the past (almost) 8 years of business and I can tell you that most kids and adults are really easy to photograph, regardless if it is the adult who just isn’t interested or the child/children that are exhausted and sad about being dragged out to do pictures. I don’t let that worry me when I am working – I just go with the flow, and if it is a bust, we can always try again later. There is never a point to making a situation worse by demanding that it is done and will be perfect NO MATTER WHAT. It is a terrible way to proceed with a session and usually, if we just wait a little bit and introduce something fun into the equation then everyone comes around. I allow 1-1.5 hours for each photography session so there is no rush – though I do shoot fast and can be done in as little as 25 minutes if necessary.
I am a mother of three children and a very busy movie set and wedding photographer with my husband Andy. All the documentary experience I have received in my profession, and my great love for our two daughters and son, drives me to capture emotion, memory and moments for our clients. If you are looking to capture and hold onto the fleeting stage of your family life RIGHT NOW, I'm your gal. I photograph in your home, outdoors, somewhere fun, or anywhere you can share meaningful experiences together. We do more than take your family portraits. We capture the love laughter and craziness that you call your own. I only take 10 family lifestyle commissions a year and also offer travel services if you are located outside of the Okanagan. Contact me through my website for more information.
Ever since I was a teenager, I have always enjoyed taking pictures with the camera my dad passed onto me, capturing the things, people and places around me. In 2007, I decided to turn this passion of mine into my career. Since then I have been shooting weddings, engagements, special events, family, kids and babies. I love telling stories with my camera, and my pictures demonstrated my characteristic style and unique perspective, simple yet elegant. I take great pride to apply my skills and talent to document the important and precious moments of life of my clients into lasting fine art pictures. It gives me great satisfaction to be able to capture these memories for my clients so they can cherish a lifetime.
I am the Jucelino, Christian, cheerful, and teller of beautiful stories. I am 23 years old, where 3 of those years dedicated to photography, mainly family. Photography came to my life by accident, in a way that was unintentional, and was then a way and a desire without return, I fell in love with this wonderful art, and portrait the life of many families through my eyes and my photography. A lover of family photography! Photography is everywhere, all the time and hourly. I believe very much in her power to keep our stories. These stories can never be forgotten. It is for these and other reasons that I am a photographer, I have this mission to tell and keep the family history!
The power of photography and that tangible element is real and is meaningful. It’s the visual documentation that provides proof we were here. We experience life, love, receive love, accomplish great feats, endure, and are a part of history within our family and communities. After that experience, I immersed myself in photojournalism. I studied, job shadowed, worked my butt off telling the stories of people who I was lucky enough to get an inside look of their lives. I’ve focused the photojournalism experience from all the assignments I’ve covered into telling stories of the people who won’t have their images highlighted inside a newspaper or magazine. This is why I do what I do. It’s also why my home has images hanging from every wall to highlight who my daughters were growing up, and who they are now. I want to always remember the 20th anniversary trip with my wife, and see myself and my girls acting goofy together. These moments are fleeting and the memories quickly fade without the images to remind us. Through portraits and weddings, I’ve devoted a big part of my life to telling stories with my images. And I take that responsibility very seriously. Because I want you to have that tangible element that will tell your story to your children, and grandchildren, and their children. I want a family member to walk down a hallway decades from now and point to a picture and ask about that moment captured in time.
I am the mother of of two beautiful, smart and creative little girls, photographer, wife, business owner and lover of real life. I love the simple in everyday life. I strive to capture my subject being who they are and the in-between, perfectly imperfect moments of you life. I want to tell your story though my lens and preserve it forever in an image. Having been a published newspaper and magazine photojournalist in Western Pennsylvania/Northeast Ohio since the new millennium, I have had photographs published in USA Today, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Post-Gazette and the Pittsburgh Tribune Review and many other newspapers around the world, as well as a few big magazines.
Paulistano, married to Maria Fernanda and father of Camila and Pedro. Graduated in Social Communication - Radio and TV by FAAP, I worked at great radios of São Paulo. The passion for photography came after the birth of my daughter. Daddy did not miss a single moment. Lol I'm a family photographer, working in the Paraíba Valley, São Paulo and where life wants to take me! Photos of pregnant women, children, newborns, couples, debutantes, parties and weddings. Where you have love, friendship and fraternization and I'm in! My job is to build memories: the book of the time when my wife was pregnant, the photos of the maternity and the arrival of the baby. The album of the first-anniversary party, the baptism, marriage. The picture of the whole family reunited! Record the present, so that in the future we can compare the clothes, laugh the hair, appreciate the furniture and colors of each era. Remember the moments lived, that the memory little by little let us escape. Photography gathers, warms our hearts, reminds us of our origins. Do not let the moment pass!

Born in Teresópolis, a mountain town in the State of Rio de Janeiro, I grew up surrounded by an incredible family and inspiring wolves From an early age I got used to admiring the beautiful and the arts as ways of seeing reality. Graduated in Law, I exercise until today the profession with passion and dedication, qualities that I transpose to all the domains of my personal and professional life. The photograph arose from the need to record my wandering around the world and the people who make my universe more beautiful and happy. Then, I began to study photography technique with a keen eye, in order to eternalize everything that poetically my eyes and lenses can capture. However, no teacher or book is able to teach us to open the soul of the photographed, which is only possible if he generously wants to share his inner world and his experiences.
