Hi! I'm Cindy, the girl behind the lens! I'm a New York Family Photographer and based in New York, NY, I work with clients all around New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Capturing love in all its forms is my passion, and I am so excited to share with you more about me and my work! I am a mom of two boys and a fur child. After seven years of dedicating my life to a Big 4 consulting firm, I realized that life was too short to not be doing something I truly enjoyed. I've always loved photography and the idea of being able to capture beauty through my lens. Before becoming a mom, I loved to help my friends take photos for their social media, and after becoming a mom, I became the de facto photographer for my kids and their friends at events like playdates, birthday parties, and holidays. As a mom, I truly felt the urgency of capturing and documenting the moments as a child grew, because these special moments passed all too quickly. Photographs provided a way for me to be able to manifest something tangible with which we can hold on to these fleeting moments. Joyful, carefree and storytelling — these are words often used to describe my photos. However, there’s so much more to a photo than how it looks! The moments and feelings are what I hope to capture. I hope the photographs bring the viewer back to the smells, sounds, and emotions of that memory. My images reveal timeless love and connection with a clean, modern aesthetic. I find beauty in the real and the ideal, and capture them where they meet. My sessions are laid back, allowing me to capture the most genuine and natural moments with your family.
Mariann Szucs has been photographing professionally for over 20 years. After graduating from Western CT State University with a photography and art degree she has been creating family and kids portraits in New York City and metro area. Mariann’s portrait style is fresh, modern and relaxed.
I studied photography at the University of California - Santa Cruz and received a degree in art with a concentration in photography. In 2000 I moved to New York City and began an internship with portrait photographer Joyce Tenneson. Under her tutelage, I began to develop my own personal portrait style, a blend of photojournalism and relaxed portraiture. I shoot every family session personally and have always loved photographing children and families. I must admit, not surprisingly, with the birth of my first child in 2012, my love for photographing babies was taken to a whole new level! I have become obsessed with artistically capturing the story of my daughters’ childhoods. I have found that passion spills over abundantly to my amazing clients as I aim to create authentic, beautiful portraits full of real moments, laughter, and love.
