Hi there, I'm Irma, a mum and family documentary photographer born in the Netherlands and living in London. I've always had a passion for photography, and have taken photos all over the world on my travels, before I finally moved to London, got married, had a baby girl and started my own business. I love the joy, fun, humour and happy chaos of family life - something I try to reflect in my work. For me it's all about capturing the tiny moments that say something unique about you and your child and family. Whether it's messy meal times, splashy bath times or a day in the park, it's the seemingly insignificant details, captured on camera unposed and unfiltered, that show the individuality of each and every family.
Hello, I’m Alexa - a specialist storytelling family photographer based in London. I love to photograph real life as it unfolds and my working style is calm, relaxed and most importantly fun! It’s not about awkward posing and smiling for the camera – it’s more about capturing the natural moments of family life. As my two kids grow up they teach me that life’s precious moments are hidden around every corner. Looking back at the photos I’ve taken throughout their childhood is one of my greatest joys. My aim is to capture that joy and emotion for you and to create a beautiful set of timeless images for your whole family to enjoy for ever. It sometimes feels like there are actually four kids in our family: my husband, our two children and possibly the cutest dog in the world. When we’re not battling it out over a board game or cooking huge family roast dinners I get the chance to lose myself in the latest Netflix drama series, before working my way through endless “to do” lists which never, ever get finished! And did I mention I quite like chocolate too?
I'm a family lifestyle photographer based in London. I've always been passionate about photography but it's only in the last few years that I started specialising in family and baby photography. I believe that children are a godsend for a family photographer because they give so much and are so open with their emotions that it reflects on all the family, unlocking all the love and playfulness. I'm originally from France but I love my new home in the UK, walking through Kent's countryside or London's landmarks with my family.
Hugger. Mother. Earl Grey tea drinker. And, oh yes. Rather importantly, I'm obsessed with light, finding it and looking at it. I love just watching different qualities of light and seeing how it moves and changes the world. I'm a former BBC journalist who went on to study an MA in Photojournalism and follow my photography passion. Photographing families and creating memories for them was born out of that passion.
I studied Photography and Art at college and at University. When returning home I became a photography assistant and second shooter for weddings and now its time to make my own stamp on the world! I am very proud to share my life with my long term partner Sophie and our animals that include guinea pigs, a hamster, and a leopard gecko. I love my little family.
A trained photojournalist, and having photographed over 500 weddings, events, families, and couples, I have the experience, skillset, and knowledge to take true documentary photos that tell the real story and personality of you and your loved ones. I have a naturally creative eye, therefore being artistic, seeing things from another perspective, chasing the light and looking for pockets of light, creating dynamic compositions, and getting down to your child’s eye level is how I capture life through their eyes. It’s an enjoyable and rewarding job, and I am a true perfectionist in what I do, but more than anything I'm passionate. You won’t be disappointed. I have a very relaxed style of photography and like to let things unfold naturally, encouraging children to run around and explore so that I can see them naturally, keeping them engaged and capturing their individual expressions and unscripted moments, this is the point in lifestyle photography. I’m always happy to give gentle direction with any type of portrait and even with family lifestyle sessions, I will generally take a handful of group photos, parent and child portraits, and individual photos of the child/ children, aiming for a mix of a small number somewhat posed as well as the main bigger bulk of the images being un-posed and true. They don’t have to be elaborate affairs, some of my favourite photos were normal, simple, everyday moments - captured beautifully and naturally, using natural light, which I’m known for.
Hi, I’m Martin! I live in the city of Bristol in a cosy house with my beautiful wife (teenage love birds), a fun-loving baby boy (sleep thief) and stubborn Golden retriever called Lulu. My favourite things in the world are travelling and watching movies, and when I’m not shooting weddings or making family portraits you’ll find me walking with my dog, watching Netflix and planning my next trip. Nothing makes me happier than hiking in the mountains, camping or visiting new places. I’m addicted to Mate (South American caffeine-rich infused drink), hummus and spicy Asian food!
I live in the beautiful Norfolk Broads with my wife and two children. I have been photographing weddings and families since 2010. One of the best things in life is a good story and that's what my approach to photography is all about. I get a real buzz capturing those special moments, moments you might not remember or, perhaps, did not get to see. Even moments which, at the time, might have seemed insignificant will take on greater significance as the years roll by. I get my best images when you're just being yourselves - natural light and natural emotions!
Born in 1978, in the middle of the summer in Athens.. And fast forward to 2002: I studied Mechanical Engineering at Technological institution of Athens learning how things work and more importantly how to break them. I then worked in this field for 8 years, but this career path left me searching for a creative outlet. I’ve always liked photography but never thought in my wildest dreams I could make a career out of it. In 2010 i came home with a new mindset and determination, to do something more fulfilling and challenging. Something that would engage me creatively. I succeeded in joining the Department of Photography and Audio-visual Arts, making my hobby my life pursuit. I undergraduate with Ηonors in documentary photography. In 2012, I continued to study Documentary Photography and i attended the “Photojournalism and Documentary Photography” program at the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York I completed my studies with a residence in the international research programme of residence in the National School of Photography (Ecole Nationale et superieure de la photographie) the only art school in France dedicated exclusively to photography. I had produced pictures on humanitarian crisis, focusing in social issues around the globe. Some of the countries and projects include India, Turkey, Syria, Jordan, France, Italy, Esthonia, Sweden, Finland, and United States of America among others. Since 2012, my photo projects began to appear in websites, newspapers and magazines worldwide (Le monde, Guardian, Le journal de la photographie, I-D magazine, Vice, National Geographic and others. In 2013 i have been Awarded as one of the best 10 Young Photographers at Athens Photofestival and the following year i was in the 1st Place, at Sony World photography Awards. But it's the story-telling part of working as a documentary photographer that has the most influence on how I now work as a documentary family and wedding photographer and this is how my editorial photography has shaped my photography. I spent a long time learning about light, about people and about story-telling. It’s not easy, telling a story with pictures.
I am Camila and I photograph families spending time and having fun together. My job is to make sure your kids have photos with you in them to look back on. I am a mum too, and just like you, I take lots of photos of my daughter with my phone, but I am not in a lot of them... just like you... but I can help you with that! My story with photography began in 2007 when I was in fashion college. I fell in love with photography, and have been married to a camera ever since. I believe photographs have the power to take us back in time. I love looking back at my family photos, they always put a smile on my face. I'd love to put a smile on your face too. I'm the kind of person who always sees a half-full glass and the little things in life make me happy, like seeing other people laugh or eating biscuits for breakfast.
Before becoming a family and lifestyle portrait photographer, I was a parenting scientist. I got a PhD, analyzing thousands of mothers playing with their babies and I learned to notice tiny changes in facial expressions, small movements, and family dynamics. These are important to my photography today. I now live on an acreage near Kingston, with my husband, three children, and a menagerie of animals. My days are spent with the crow of roosters out the window, while I drink ALL the coffee and spread the joy of loving your life, loving your real self, and being forgiving of yourself as a parent.
