Hi, I’m Iris, based out of Portland, Oregon, USA. I'm a lifestyle photography award winner, specializing in lifestyle and documentary sessions with family, newborns, and special occasions. With a lifestyle and documentary hybrid approach, I capture who you are and connections in between moments. I’m serving Portland and surrounding areas, and always willing to travel! I take a more journalistic approach to capture real and emotive moments that speak to the heart. My sessions are laid back so you will feel comfortable to let your personality and story shine.

I am a lifestyle family, newborn and senior photographer based out of Seattle in Washington state, capturing organic and full-of-life images for families around the Greater Seattle area. My sessions are relaxed, laid-back and fun. I let kids be kids and their personalities shine. I will get your family to laugh, hug, play and simply enjoy your time together and I will be there to capture it all - the sound of your little one’s laughter, the smell of your new baby’s warm fuzzy hair. I am obsessed with capturing family connections in an authentic, vibrant and emotive way in our beautiful Pacific Northwest or in the comfort of your own home. Once upon a time, I was a research statistician and worked in clinical trials for a few years. After having my own children I often find myself astonished by how fleeting each stage of family life really is. My love for photography has changed my life, for the better. It slows me down and allows me to be much more aware and present in life. As a family and newborn photographer, my goal is to tell your family’s ordinary but extraordinary story through beautiful artistic images that will last a lifetime. When not photographing, you will find me embracing my awesome and chaotic life with my husband and our two daughters who keep us on our toes.

As a huge travel bug, Iris started her photography journey capturing the people and places she encounters during her travels and loved telling stories with her photos. Being a photographer wasn't something Iris always thought she would do, but becoming a mama changes things. When Iris welcomed her daughter to this world, Iris realized that time goes by much faster than what she's prepared for. Kids simply grow up too fast! Taking photos of those toothless smiles, chunky cheeks and tiny hands and toes help to savor those gone-in-a-flash moments that are truly special to us -- and I look forward to capturing those special memories for your family! Inspired by Susan's PanAmerica trip, Iris and her husband took a year long journey traveling around the world.

Hi! I'm Cindy, the girl behind the lens! I'm a New York Family Photographer and based in New York, NY, I work with clients all around New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Capturing love in all its forms is my passion, and I am so excited to share with you more about me and my work! I am a mom of two boys and a fur child. After seven years of dedicating my life to a Big 4 consulting firm, I realized that life was too short to not be doing something I truly enjoyed. I've always loved photography and the idea of being able to capture beauty through my lens. Before becoming a mom, I loved to help my friends take photos for their social media, and after becoming a mom, I became the de facto photographer for my kids and their friends at events like playdates, birthday parties, and holidays. As a mom, I truly felt the urgency of capturing and documenting the moments as a child grew, because these special moments passed all too quickly. Photographs provided a way for me to be able to manifest something tangible with which we can hold on to these fleeting moments. Joyful, carefree and storytelling — these are words often used to describe my photos. However, there’s so much more to a photo than how it looks! The moments and feelings are what I hope to capture. I hope the photographs bring the viewer back to the smells, sounds, and emotions of that memory. My images reveal timeless love and connection with a clean, modern aesthetic. I find beauty in the real and the ideal, and capture them where they meet. My sessions are laid back, allowing me to capture the most genuine and natural moments with your family.

Susan has been behind the camera viewfinder for years. Getting her start with interior and landscape photography, she has gotten more and more into children photography ever since finding out she was going to be a mom herself. She infuses every photo session with creativity, easygoingness, and a desire to get truly special and memorable shots of whoever is being photographed. Susan and her husband embarked on a 6-month Pan-American adventure from Boston to Argentina by land.
Photography has been one of my favorite things to do since I was little. I always wanted to capture memories to be able to see them later and live those moments again with the same intensity. There are moments in life that you don't want to miss or forget and photograph is the most beautiful way to keep them. I have learned everything I know about photography on my own and have developed my skills through practice and discipline. It's always great to give the best of you to the most beautiful form of art.

Ever since I was a teenager, I have always enjoyed taking pictures with the camera my dad passed onto me, capturing the things, people and places around me. In 2007, I decided to turn this passion of mine into my career. Since then I have been shooting weddings, engagements, special events, family, kids and babies. I love telling stories with my camera, and my pictures demonstrated my characteristic style and unique perspective, simple yet elegant. I take great pride to apply my skills and talent to document the important and precious moments of life of my clients into lasting fine art pictures. It gives me great satisfaction to be able to capture these memories for my clients so they can cherish a lifetime.

It's humbling to hear what an amazing experience they have working with me, and the appreciation for my ability to capture moments in action alongside beautiful lifestyle portraits.

I am the passionate storyteller behind the lens. Based in Secaucus, NJ, I work with clients around NJ and NY. I love watching movies and documentaries. In those great ones, each frame is a breathtaking photo. Wandering in museums and exhibitions is also something I enjoy a lot. I believe good photos show the real and emotive moments that speak to the heart. In order to achieve that, I would step back most of the time and let your story shine. My sessions are laid back, so you can feel comfortable and bring your personality out. Different lights, weather, and setting create different moods. I’m happy to photograph you at any time of the day – full sun or golden hour; under different weather conditions – overcast, bright sun, rain, or snow; and at any location you feel comfortable with – a bustling downtown, a beautiful park or simply stay at home. I enjoy them all.

Hi, I’m Amy, a Houston area based photographer. I am specialized in family, newborn, and personal portrait sessions. I love to look through the lens to capture the loving moments and connection of your family. Photos make lots of precious moments freeze in time. You may laugh, think, or be full of tears when you look back on these photos. Nobody can stop time, but we can remember our babie's flushed face, laughing while swinging in daddy’s hand, when looking at pictures. I am a mom of three smart kids, a handsome boy and two beautiful girls. They take my most time and give me unmeasurable love. I was a software engineer before I found my enthusiasm for photography. My passion is to capture sweet moments between you and your loved ones. That gives me joy and inspires me more. The session will be relaxed and your honest connections will be captured. Let’s work together to record your own story.

I am originally from Brazil and lived in London for 12 years before moving to the great Pacific Northwest. As a mom, I know how busy parents are and how important making and keeping memories of our little ones is. My work as a photographer brings me to revisit some of my most cherished memories of a barefoot childhood and spilled ice cream. Because of that, my sessions are filled with fun and have a lot of room for authentic connections between you and your loved ones. I believe in the central and essential role of women in society as mothers, professionals, and individuals and so I always make time for mama to have her special moment in front of the camera. When I’m not making pictures you can find me in the kitchen looking for something sweet, crying to an episode of Schitt’s Creek or under a pile of dishes.

Hi, I am Lulu, an award-winning lifestyle photographer serving families throughout the Denver Metro area in Colorado. I’m a mom of two cheerful girls, an affectionate furry kid (a golden retriever), and 2 dozen houseplants that constantly spread positive vibes in our house. I'm obsessed with capturing honest moments in natural light. I always chase the light. I chase light because I believe the light is like a brisk wind, the light is like time fly fast. But beautiful memories never fade in my heart and my photographs. My aspiration is to document your raw emotions and intimate connection in the light artistically. If you lean toward a laidback session experience with natural joy, and are ready to snuggle, laugh, and have some fun, let's talk. I believe that your unique stories are worth being told.

Hi. I'm Sam: a photo-taking, baby-making, adventure-seeking mama + photographer. I fell in love with photography in a high school darkroom class and dedicated much of my career life to learning the art form since. From editorials, albums, and magazine covers, so many friendly kiddos, fresh babies on their birth days, and destination weddings, I've enjoyed the challenge of it all. Beyond photography, I love being a mom and a wife, growing my tropical food forest, dancing, decorating, traveling, chickens, sewing, clean sheets, dinner parties, snowboarding, camping, IPAs, hiking, and that tingly feeling when you first get into a hot bath. I love great late-night conversations that dig deep, karaoke in dive bars where people are performing like they're on the verge of a midlife crisis, and the rush of Christmas mornings. And I'd love to connect with fresh families that dig my style and would like to document their families as they grow. Because while time flies, we can capture and preserve little slices of each chapter. So, let's have fun and take beautiful portraits together!

I've known my whole life that I wanted to do something creative, now here I am as a photographer! Bonnie is a Scottish word for beautiful. Having this name has encouraged me to see the beauty in everything. Born and raised in Boulder, CO, I’ve always had a travel bug and a passion for art. I specialize in outdoor portraits using natural and staged lighting. My editing style is bold and vibrant. You’ll find that my client interactions and photography reflect the high value I place on family, honesty, intelligence (I am a Ravenclaw after all), and humor. My other roles include: substitute teacher, Denver Comic Con volunteer, luckiest wife in the world, and dog momma.

I am a Southern California storyteller photographer, capturing your everyday life and times in images. For me, it is all about authentic imagery that represents who you are. I’ve always been one to document, but my love of photography really blossomed with the birth of our first child. I inherited my first DSLR camera, which I enjoyed, but it wasn’t until a friend taught me how to use the manual mode that I realized pointing and shooting play a very small role in creating a compelling image. So my quest began: to make images — creatively and expertly — that move the viewer. Soon after, I had life-changing moments to document: our 2nd daughter’s cleft palate surgery and bringing our son home from the hospital for the first time. But I have realized what I enjoy most is capturing the little things: how she cocks her head when she pushes her palms into the play dough, or how he clambers up onto a bike that is way too big for him. For me, the joy of capturing a moment beautifully and memorably is the most exciting part of photography. I would love to share this gift with you, to come together for a time and create a collection of images that bring you just such joy.

With over 13 years as a pro photographer and former modeling experience, I have a knack for finding the best shots and angles quickly and creating a fun experience to produce fabulous results for my clients. I'm an International Award-Winning Member of the WPJA (Wedding Photojournalist Association) and have been featured in the Los Angeles Times, OC Register, and various magazines in South Florida, Southern California, and in Lima, Peru including El Comercio, Publimetro, and Somos Fiestas. I've had solo photo exhibits in California and Peru. Currently located in Southern California and constantly traveling around the globe to capture story-telling photographs, portraits, and events.

The power of photography and that tangible element is real and is meaningful. It’s the visual documentation that provides proof we were here. We experience life, love, receive love, accomplish great feats, endure, and are a part of history within our family and communities. After that experience, I immersed myself in photojournalism. I studied, job shadowed, worked my butt off telling the stories of people who I was lucky enough to get an inside look of their lives. I’ve focused the photojournalism experience from all the assignments I’ve covered into telling stories of the people who won’t have their images highlighted inside a newspaper or magazine. This is why I do what I do. It’s also why my home has images hanging from every wall to highlight who my daughters were growing up, and who they are now. I want to always remember the 20th anniversary trip with my wife, and see myself and my girls acting goofy together. These moments are fleeting and the memories quickly fade without the images to remind us. Through portraits and weddings, I’ve devoted a big part of my life to telling stories with my images. And I take that responsibility very seriously. Because I want you to have that tangible element that will tell your story to your children, and grandchildren, and their children. I want a family member to walk down a hallway decades from now and point to a picture and ask about that moment captured in time.

I fell in love with photography as a teenager. After I had my first child. I wanted to catch every moment, every smile, every milestone. Today, when I look back at photographs of my children, memories come flooding back. The photograph of my daughter standing on a chair makes me remember how she loved to climb, on everything! The photo of my son in a miniature chef’s hat and apron reminds me of when he was 3 and wanted to be a chef. He made up recipes for me, like asparagus cookies! I’m passionate that everyone has a story and everyone deserves to have their story documented. I want to capture real, authentic moments that tell your story, so you can look back and remember those moments as if they happened yesterday. It doesn’t matter where you are in your story, capturing the connection between you and those you love is my goal. Whether you are a young couple in love, awaiting the birth of your little one, or a family with teenagers, your love and connection should be captured. When you book a session with me, there won’t be fake smiles and lots of “say cheese” moments. I’m a visual storyteller and your story will be filled with laughter and fun. I’m not the right photographer for everyone, but if this sounds like the type of session you are looking for, then I’m the right photographer for you. Let’s get started telling your story!

I have been in the photography industry for over 9 years, with the last 4 running my own business. I am dedicated to document how it felt. I want my images to timelessly remind my subject how it felt to be a part of your family, to laugh, to hold your youngest child. I am grateful to give my clients memories of it was truly like to be a part of your family. Kids. They're amazing to work with. Totally unpredictable and give the best expressions. I have three kids of my own and know that my favorite images of them are the ones that really show their personalities. So that's what I strive to do for you. Don't worry, I also get great laughing, and genuine smiles too. I pride myself on my ability to get kids of all ages to crack a smile.

Julie's fascination with photography started early. Hanging in her family home were two side-by-side portraits: one of her sister, perfectly coiffed and surrounded by carefully arranged stuffed animals; and one of Julie, tangled hair, one sock falling down and struggling to put on a pair of shoes. Julie passed those photos every day until the idea that people and character should be in photographs was as second nature as bee-bopping to ’80s music. Fast-forward fifteen years and you will meet a self-made, successful, award-winning artists who, despite her interest in all visual mediums, has devoted herself exclusively to candid moment driven photojournalistic photography in Key West. Below the bubbly surface that will charm, is a serious professional and incredible artist.

I've contemplated long and hard every single day since I've picked up a camera about why I do what I do and what motivates me. I think about what it means to me and about what it means to other people. There are a few reasons, some have changed, some haven't. The few that drives them all are human connection, relationships, and vulnerability. I feel I have a responsibility to photograph present reality for the sake of human history and future nostalgia. It is very easy for me to connect with people, whether it be my clients or a stranger on the street. I love knowing that through my chosen medium I am able to gain new perspectives of this life, one person at a time. I feel honored and blessed to be able to wake up every morning and tell stories through photographs.

I am a 2020 approved member of the Family Photojournalist Association and the Lifestyle Photographers Association. I work part-time with Bella Baby Photography at a regional hospital capturing the first hours of a baby's life. I am originally from Perth, Western Australia. I currently live just outside of Washington D.C. with my husband and two children (and I miss living by the ocean). I have lived in many different places -- that's the short story. In 2015, when my children were finally out of diapers, I took a breath and picked up my husband's Nikon D90 and began, slowly, teaching myself manual photography. I fell in love and dived right in. My day job is development and grant-writing for non-profit organizations. I have married these two professions into Positive Light, a photography service for non-profits to help capture their clients with dignity, in a 'positive light'. I believe family lifestyle photography should be available to everyone, not just those who like to wear coordinated designer outfits and have a lot of wall space. I am always learning and trying to improve my technical skills. I am extremely excited to be taking part in the three-month program Quietly Loud, lead by Felicia Chang and Kristine Nyborg. I use a Nikon D810 and 35mm1.4, 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.8, and 105mm F2.

The focus is on everyday moments and interactions including connections while engaging with one another. Sessions take place at home or at an outdoor location in the San Francisco Bay Area or Mendocino. We are so lucky to have 2 locations, Mendocino and San Francisco. The best of both worlds.

I seek to capture natural, authentic photos of my clients. For the last 20 years, I have worked with people from all walks of life to create images that truly reflect their personalities. My style evolved out of my own self-conscious nature. I didn't want my clients to feel uncomfortable or overly posed. I want to bring out the best of them and you!

Hi! I am Tanushree. My desire to work with different people and help showcase their best version of themselves took me from being a commerce graduate to becoming a professional hair artist, a wedding and portrait photographer as well as a graphic designer. Shooting weddings has been an incredible journey since I first started in 2012. It has taken me to over 14 countries across the world and I’ve been lucky to witness so many beautiful stories firsthand. My wedding clients eventually transitioned to maternity and family sessions organically. I realised I love documenting love in all shapes and forms. :)

After graduating from nursing school, I spent two years working in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at the prestigious Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Feeling a strong call and desire to help others, in June 2007 I left my job in Philadelphia. I took my first trip across the Atlantic Ocean and spent a year volunteering as a nurse in Monrovia, Liberia, onboard the world's largest non-governmental hospital ship, the Africa Mercy, with the medical charity, Mercy Ships. While in Liberia, I began writing about my experiences for several newspapers and magazines in the Philadelphia area. The editors needed images to illustrate my stories, so I ordered my first DSLR camera and began learning how to use it. I quickly realized the power and significance of an image. A single image could transcend distance, time, and situation, to communicate a thought, feeling, or emotion, that was universally recognized in the human experience.

I'm a classically trained pianist, natural-born creative, and someone who paid way too much for a degree. I'm a husband to one of the most compassionate women you’ll ever meet and father to two incredibly inventive kids. I love new technologies, collect watches, wallets, and pens, am slightly obsessed with spicy foods, and thrive on creativity.

As a father of 3, I know how crazy parenthood is. I also know how fast time goes by and how important it is to record those fleeting moments that make up this wild thing we call 'life'. That is why I feel, more strongly then ever, that it is very crucial to be as unobtrusive as I can be when making photographs of families so that I do not interrupt those moments that make this whole thing worthwhile and precious. To document those little moments that you will look back on and make you smile is not just for you, the parent, but more so for your children. For them to have an honest record of how your life and family were in truth. Life is too short not to.

I'm Amy. A wife, mother, lover of travel, a dreamer and an artist. I enjoy spending time with laid back, fun people and sipping coffee at yummy cafes. My four little boys are my everything. They have taught me so much about life and love. I don't make my bed every day. I sometimes forget to water my plants. I have a habit of looking for pretty light everywhere I go. I love spending time with friends. The beach makes me feel calm. I'm a proud Kiwi. I love to people watch and rocking my babies to sleep is the most beautiful part of my day. I believe that there is so much beauty in each family and that the everyday chaos should be embraced. I believe that life is beautiful, even with all its chaos, and I believe the imperfect should be celebrated. People come to me for a relaxed, authentic and love filled photo session. I love to photograph families in their own homes, the four walls in which they are most comfortable. You’ve put a lot of time into creating the home of your dreams. Let’s feature it as the backdrop to your family photos. I create a space for families to come together and love on one another. No epic location, no new clothes needed. All I ask of you is that you show up as YOU. As a mother of four kids, I know that kids can have a mind of their own. This is why I never truly “plan” sessions. Your kids can be as wild and crazy as they like. It won’t phase me. The whole point of a lifestyle session is to photograph you exactly as you are. If that means kids want to be in your arms and snuggling the whole time, then that’s exactly how we’ll capture them. If your kids want to run and play, that’s great. We’ll photograph them having fun. I want you to know that I see the beauty in your family. You may look through galleries of other families and think that you can’t live up to that. That your life isn’t that pretty. But trust me, it is. You have a unique story to tell and it is just as worthy of being told as anyone else’s. I see it, and I want to create images where you can see it too.

I studied photography at the University of California - Santa Cruz and received a degree in art with a concentration in photography. In 2000 I moved to New York City and began an internship with portrait photographer Joyce Tenneson. Under her tutelage, I began to develop my own personal portrait style, a blend of photojournalism and relaxed portraiture. I shoot every family session personally and have always loved photographing children and families. I must admit, not surprisingly, with the birth of my first child in 2012, my love for photographing babies was taken to a whole new level! I have become obsessed with artistically capturing the story of my daughters’ childhoods. I have found that passion spills over abundantly to my amazing clients as I aim to create authentic, beautiful portraits full of real moments, laughter, and love.

The story of my life with a camera started when I was 11, and without knowing it, I have had a camera at my side since that day 24 years ago. But my journey of photographing human connection started 9 years ago after I gave birth to my daughter. Feeling like time was moving too fast, my lens turned to the tiny human in my lap. Her newborn toes and baby rolls were quickly transforming into a fast and toothy toddler... I wanted to remember it all. Each tiny finger. Every curl on the back of her neck. How we touched noses for comfort. Or the first garden we planted together. As a child, I loved flipping through old picture boxes and hoarding my favorites. I asked about what I saw in the pictures and my parents recalled vacations, holidays, stories of drawing on the walls with permanent markers, birthdays, or trips to the park to feed the ducks. The pictures became a way for us to remember. To tell stories. Photography is my way of storytelling, and when I look at a photograph, I FEEL the moment, and my head and heart rejoice in the memory. With my lens, I capture the everyday details that make up my life, those moments that become my cherished memories.

I'm a kids & family photographer based in Madison, WI. Let me be your audience. Freeze your beautiful life. Witness your important moment. Document your kids' growth. Photography is Poetry. I'm a lifestyle portrait photographer based in Seattle and serving the surrounding Metro-Area. I use natural light and mainly outdoor settings to capture beautiful and timeless photographs of the ones you love most. I believe that a beautiful portrait should portray much more than just a smile, so it's my goal to make you and your family feel at ease so you can relax, be yourselves and I can capture the real you. I started taking photos at an early age, my Dad took photos and so did my Grandfather. At high school I studied film photography and spent hours in the darkroom developing photos of my family and friends. I've always adored the art form, the masters, the gear, the trends and the software but my heart is always with natural light and minimal processing. My name is Stephanie Nembhard, I am a portrait and lifestyle photographer located in Northern Virginia. I specialize in portrait photography, including family, children, maternity, engagement, headshots, and seniors. I have always enjoyed taking pictures, ever since disposable cameras were a thing. After becoming a mother, my interest in photography grew and my Canon was always present to capture all those precious moments of my little ones! I have always had a passion for learning new things and continued education. In combination with my thirst for continued knowledge and becoming a mother, I sought out to find a new outlet to fuel my creativity. My photography style is timeless, light, airy, and people-centered. Moreover, I enjoy capturing authentic moments of love, laughter, and joy. As your trusted photographer, I will advise you if you have a piece of hair sticking up, or you need to change to a more flattering angle to ensure you look your best! In addition, I will give you outfit suggestions, posing tips, and feedback in order to ensure you love the outcome of your photos. In my view, I believe that life is about creating memories, and in turn photos are about capturing those precious moments. Ultimately, my goal is to capture beautiful and meaningful photos that will be adored and cherished for years to come! I would love to hear from you to discuss how I can make your vision come to life!

As a proud mom to a boy and a girl, and a loving owner of an 80lb Samoyed dog, I understand the importance of capturing and preserving life's precious moments. My love for photography runs deep in my family - my grandmother was a talented photographer who inspired me to follow in her footsteps. And after experiencing the regret of not having enough photos to remember the special moments from my children's early days, I'm on a mission to help others capture and cherish their memories too. I love to create images that showcase the love, joy, and unique personalities of each and every family I work with. I strive to bring out the best in my clients and capture their special moments in a creative and spontaneous way. So, if you're looking for a photographer who is dedicated to capturing and preserving your family's memories in a laid-back and authentic way, I'd love to chat with you!

I started as photographers often do with a camera in hand as I traveled. I grew up in Victoria, Canada, and I was lucky enough to go to Europe every few years to visit my extended family. The new landscapes and architecture inspired me. I inherited my mother’s DSLR film camera body and lenses in my early 20's. As a competitive runner at the time, I took photos of my friends competing in races. Then I did my first wedding for a friend for free in 2003. I remember the adrenaline rush I got after surviving having to change film right before the First Kiss and still getting the shot. In 2005 I went digital and did a few more weddings here and there, for not much money still. I also sold photos from triathlons and running races, which taught me how to capture fast-moving subjects and more business skills. Everything I made from photography I put back into it. Then in 2007 I bought professional Nikon gear and decided I could do this as a meaningful job. I launched my website and haven’t looked back. Before going full-time I was a biologist and part-time gardener. After my first full summer of weddings in Canada, I followed my now-wife to Australia, who was doing research there for 3 years. In 2011 we made Fort Collins, Colorado our new home, where my wife got a job at Colorado State University.

I love taking great photos and am constantly learning new techniques to do so Favorite food: Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (I've had them almost every day since 2nd grade--sometimes I even eat them for dinner after a late shift in the ER) Favorite thing in life: Hearing the laughter of my kids Favorite thing to do in La Crosse: Getting ice cream at the Pearl Most meaningful experience: Delivering all three of our kids

I found my passion in photography as I became a mom. It started as just a simple desire of wanting to capture beautiful images of my own children. My passion has grown over time, and I now want to share my passion with others. As a mom, I know kids stay little for only a little while, and want to capture the precious moment of you and your loved ones in the form of photography so you can forever cherish it. My passion is to capture the real connections of families by letting them be who they are in the moment. These are the moments that you want to remember when your kids get older. The way your kids smiled at you, how their little hands held yours, I love lifestyle, storytelling photography because it captures that. Let me see your family story and let's tell it! I look forward to building a relationship with you. I am based out of Washougal, but I do sessions all over the greater Portland metro area, the Columbia River Gorge as well as the Oregon coast.

Influenced by a background in photojournalism, I strive to not only make beautiful and creative photographs of your family, but photos that capture the real emotion, candid moments, and unique personalities. After graduating from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2006 with a degree in Photojournalism, I spent six years as a newspaper photojournalist in New York and Nebraska, before moving back to my home state of Vermont where my wife and I have been photographing weddings and families since 2012.
I was born in France in 1988 in the beautiful region of Burgundy. For three years now, I have been living in the USA. Love brought me here and makes my life better and better every day. I have been taking pictures since I was a kid. I have started taking professional pictures ten years ago using my camera to tell stories with a journalism aspect. I now want to use my knowledge to photograph your family with my unique point of view on photography. Your family is a story and my job is to describe it through my photos. As a photojournalist, I have won many international photo competitions, and have been selected for many collective exhibitions in Paris, Great Britain, and Finland. My personal work is an important part of my photography skills.

My name is Chunlei Deng. I am a mom and a family photographer based in the Bay Area, California. After my daughter was born, I became a family history keeper behind the camera. To improve my shooting skills and to make up for my regret that I did not major in art, I started a professional photography course in college and finally got a professional photographer certificate. During my study, one of the most impressive projects was "Good Morning, " a series in black and white of my daughter. “Good Morning” was the first time I was more concerned with conveying to the audience the emotion and connection to my four-year-old daughter’s struggles and playfulness in the morning than the perfection of the photo. After completing this project, I set my style on documentary photography and lifestyle photography, trying to document extraordinary life most naturally. It is also the original intention of my photography studio because I wanted to narrate more stories for more families through my lens. My photography style is storytelling, emotive and timeless. I offer maternity, newborn, and family lifestyle sessions, you can choose the location, and it also could be your home. My workflow is without stress, giving minimum direction, and making my client naturally present in front of the lens. I also offer fine art portrait photography. I will capture timeless, authentic, and emotive portraits through communication with you.

I live in the small town of Lincoln, Vermont, with my husband, two cats, and a rambunctious flock of backyard chickens. Since moving to Vermont in 2012, I have photographed over 100 weddings. My husband and I work together, photographing weddings in a documentary style allowing you to relive your wedding day through your images. Besides photography, I am inspired by nature - I love taking a walk in the woods, going for a hike, or going for a swim on a hot summer day in the nearby river.

Passionate about real stories and natural light. Pediatric dentist by training, designer by choice and photographer by passion!! It took me a while to get here, but today I can say that photography is my great purpose in life and what makes me happier. I love meeting people, discovering new stories and being the guardian of the most valuable memories of these families.
