Ever since I was a teenager, I have always enjoyed taking pictures with the camera my dad passed onto me, capturing the things, people and places around me. In 2007, I decided to turn this passion of mine into my career. Since then I have been shooting weddings, engagements, special events, family, kids and babies. I love telling stories with my camera, and my pictures demonstrated my characteristic style and unique perspective, simple yet elegant. I take great pride to apply my skills and talent to document the important and precious moments of life of my clients into lasting fine art pictures. It gives me great satisfaction to be able to capture these memories for my clients so they can cherish a lifetime.
Hey! I am Kevin Sawyer. I am an international award-winning destination wedding and lifestyle photographer and am based in the Lake Tahoe area. I live with my very beautiful wife and our two amazing pups!
Julie's fascination with photography started early. Hanging in her family home were two side-by-side portraits: one of her sister, perfectly coiffed and surrounded by carefully arranged stuffed animals; and one of Julie, tangled hair, one sock falling down and struggling to put on a pair of shoes. Julie passed those photos every day until the idea that people and character should be in photographs was as second nature as bee-bopping to ’80s music. Fast-forward fifteen years and you will meet a self-made, successful, award-winning artists who, despite her interest in all visual mediums, has devoted herself exclusively to candid moment driven photojournalistic photography in Key West. Below the bubbly surface that will charm, is a serious professional and incredible artist.
Hi there! I’m Kelly McPhail - a family photographer in Lafayette, Indiana. For more than 15 years, I have enjoyed photographing families, babies, children and have realized that we are all the same... our family, loved ones and friends are the most important treasures in our lives. Having favorite photos of these loved ones are some of our most valued possessions! Last year I felt led to turn this passion into something more substantial and launched Kelly McPhail Photography in September 2018. Can I tell you what was the biggest motivator that finally launched me into business? A little girl named Mackenzie. My dear friend LeeAnn called me up in early August and asked me to take family photos before their 6 month-old daughter Mackenzie’s open-heart surgery. Teary-eyed she shared that she wanted to have the photos in case Mackenzie didn’t make it through the surgery. After their super fun photoshoot, LeeAnn looked over the pictures and expressed how meaningful it was to have these images. It was then that I decided it was time to go after this dream of mine and bless others through photography. I look forward to hearing from you and hope to have the opportunity to capture memories and milestones for you and your family in the near future!
I have always had a passion for stories and the value they hold in our lives which drove me to my career as a high school English and journalism teacher. I loved sharing old, new, weird, traditional, ANY type of story with teenagers and watching them realize more about themselves by experiencing a story. However, when my high school sweetheart husband and I had our daughter, my priorities began to change... Flash forward to present day and you will find me enjoying my life as a stay-at-home-mom and photographer. I am so excited to be taking my love of stories and applying it to my love of photography! I am a big believer that customer service and providing unique, fun experiences is part of being a good human and a good business person and will strive to give that to everyone who considers my sessions. I love meeting new people and being in challenging situations is my cup of tea so bring on the newborns, toddlers, and families of 10! I will capture it all and can’t wait to meet you!
Hi, I’m Iris, a lifestyle photography award winner, specializing in lifestyle and documentary sessions with family, couples, personal branding, special occasions. I capture who you are and creates timeless & beautiful imagery. I’m based out of Brentwood TN, also serves Nashville and surrounding areas, and always willing to travel! I take a more journalistic approach to capturing real and emotive moments that speak to the heart. My sessions are laid back so you will feel comfortable enough to let your personality and story shine.
The power of photography and that tangible element is real and is meaningful. It’s the visual documentation that provides proof we were here. We experience life, love, receive love, accomplish great feats, endure, and are a part of history within our family and communities. After that experience, I immersed myself in photojournalism. I studied, job shadowed, worked my butt off telling the stories of people who I was lucky enough to get an inside look of their lives. I’ve focused the photojournalism experience from all the assignments I’ve covered into telling stories of the people who won’t have their images highlighted inside a newspaper or magazine. This is why I do what I do. It’s also why my home has images hanging from every wall to highlight who my daughters were growing up, and who they are now. I want to always remember the 20th anniversary trip with my wife, and see myself and my girls acting goofy together. These moments are fleeting and the memories quickly fade without the images to remind us. Through portraits and weddings, I’ve devoted a big part of my life to telling stories with my images. And I take that responsibility very seriously. Because I want you to have that tangible element that will tell your story to your children, and grandchildren, and their children. I want a family member to walk down a hallway decades from now and point to a picture and ask about that moment captured in time.
I'm in love with taking family pictures of the good life—kicking and screaming included. My family photographs are an extension of me, and you should know I've never been accused of being a quiet person. My camera loves people who make funny faces, hugs and kisses are a session requirement, and when someone throws a tantrum I click my shutter faster. If I laugh at an image while culling a session, no matter how bad it may be from a technical standpoint, it automatically goes into the editing queue. I want to see people's loud, their love, their life. Together, we make pictures that make them say: This is Us.
I love vibrant color, happy energy, genuine expressions, and a great story. Over the last 17 years, I have photographed some truly fun and fascinating families. I'd love to be able to tell your story, too. I am based in Northern Virginia, but I've photographed families all over the country. Years of experience have taught me how to help people feel comfortable and confident in front of a camera. I particularly love working with children and documenting the quiet comfort and loud drama of family life. I have been interviewed and published by Popular Photography as an expert in family candids. My many other publications include Newsweek, Photo District News, and Brides. I have a masters degree in Instructional Technology, with an emphasis in Photography Education, and I teach novice photographers this wonderful craft. My own family includes my husband, two kids, a dog, and lots of silliness. When I'm not working, I'm usually hiking, paddleboarding, or singing karaoke with insufficient talent. If you'd like to learn more about me and my services, I'd love to learn about you and your family.
I have been in the photography industry for over 9 years, with the last 4 running my own business. I am dedicated to document how it felt. I want my images to timelessly remind my subject how it felt to be a part of your family, to laugh, to hold your youngest child. I am grateful to give my clients memories of it was truly like to be a part of your family. Kids. They're amazing to work with. Totally unpredictable and give the best expressions. I have three kids of my own and know that my favorite images of them are the ones that really show their personalities. So that's what I strive to do for you. Don't worry, I also get great laughing, and genuine smiles too. I pride myself on my ability to get kids of all ages to crack a smile.

If you are looking for a photographer that will capture the fun, messy "stuff of life" than look no further, because that is what I do. I create frame worthy imagery that moves away from the slick studio setting in order to paint an honest portrait of your family; all of the laughs, messes, goofs, love, and excitement... I became a photographer when I was 13 and never looked back. I am a darkroom and digital photography teacher and the owner of a lifestyle and wedding photography business too. Photographing people is my jam and I am fun to be around and am really great with kids of all ages. Send me an email if this sounds like a good fit for you.

I've been an artist all my life. I was that weird nerdy girl in class always doodling. It was my favorite hobby throughout school all the way into college. I was actually aiming to become an animation and media artist, yet it took a single photograph shot by a photography student to make me change majors. The rest is history. I now enjoy producing quality portraits for clients all around the Delaware Valley from Weddings to Births. I believe in moments over poses and take pride in capturing not just smiles but personalities.
After graduating from nursing school, I spent two years working in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at the prestigious Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Feeling a strong call and desire to help others, in June 2007 I left my job in Philadelphia. I took my first trip across the Atlantic Ocean and spent a year volunteering as a nurse in Monrovia, Liberia, onboard the world's largest non-governmental hospital ship, the Africa Mercy, with the medical charity, Mercy Ships. While in Liberia, I began writing about my experiences for several newspapers and magazines in the Philadelphia area. The editors needed images to illustrate my stories, so I ordered my first DSLR camera and began learning how to use it. I quickly realized the power and significance of an image. A single image could transcend distance, time, and situation, to communicate a thought, feeling, or emotion, that was universally recognized in the human experience.
I graduated from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth with a BFA in Digital Media. My roots were formed studying graphic design, animation, early web design and fine art. I stuck to a strict web-safe palette of 218 colors, carefully sliced and optimized graphics for dial-up, and constructed tables with hand-coded HTML. I shot on film and developed my own prints in the darkroom. I sketched live models in charcoal and conté crayons. And I designed and scripted my first interactive app with Macromedia Director. I began my professional career as a web designer, working for marketing and advertising agencies in and around Boston.
I studied photography at the University of California - Santa Cruz and received a degree in art with a concentration in photography. In 2000 I moved to New York City and began an internship with portrait photographer Joyce Tenneson. Under her tutelage, I began to develop my own personal portrait style, a blend of photojournalism and relaxed portraiture. I shoot every family session personally and have always loved photographing children and families. I must admit, not surprisingly, with the birth of my first child in 2012, my love for photographing babies was taken to a whole new level! I have become obsessed with artistically capturing the story of my daughters’ childhoods. I have found that passion spills over abundantly to my amazing clients as I aim to create authentic, beautiful portraits full of real moments, laughter, and love.
Rick uses his 20-year career as a photojournalist as the backbone to producing both stunning portraits and emotional moments. He lives with his wife Cheryl and their two boys just outside of Vancouver in a turn-of-the-century farmhouse.
I am a natural light photographer who believes everyone has a special story to tell. I focus on capturing the everyday moments in beautiful perspectives to create cherished memories. I specialize in family, birth/newborn, and "a day in the life of" photography.
As a kid, I was a nerdy tomboy who devoured books and played kickball in the street. I used to page through my dad’s dusty old National Geographic magazines, falling in love with certain pictures. I would clip out my favourites with scissors and remix them as collages. … A marble statue jutting out of a black lava field. A boy with grimy hands holding a bouquet of radishes. A girl changing the oil under her pickup truck. A fisherman’s wrinkled grin. … I think looking through those pictures is when I first fell in love with photos. I didn’t start taking photos until I was an adult. While working as a French-to-English translator, I enrolled in an evening photography class for fun. And got hooked.
Ruthie’s roots are in photojournalism and art. She received a scholarship to attend Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, where she majored in photography and minored in drawing. She interned at the Irish Times Newspaper in Dublin, Ireland. Upon graduation, she launched her photography business and in 2006, was hired as a Staff Photographer by Sun-Times Media. There she worked for almost 7 years covering memorable events such as the aftermath of the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, the 2008 Olympic Trials for Track and Field in Eugene, Oregon, and Paul McCartney at Wrigley Field. During her tenure at Sun-Times Media, she earned 18 State and National Photojournalism awards. In the summer of 2012, Ruthie and her husband welcomed their first child, and she made the decision to give up her staff position to focus on her business and her new role as Mom. Ruthie and her husband now have two young sons and a huge cat. They try to live simply and enjoy outdoor recreation, live music, a good glass of wine and travel. In 2017, Ruthie and her family relocated from the Chicago area to Madison, WI. Before a long day of photography Ruthie's pre-game ritual includes 8+ hours of sleep, a burger, a playlist of Hall & Oates, and an iced white chocolate mocha. On assignment, Ruthie is usually doing whatever is necessary to get the best possible photo, whether it be sloshing through a ditch, balancing on the roof of a skyscraper, flying in a blimp or standing in a bathtub. She loves EVERY minute of it. Ruthie's goal is to go above and beyond for her clients while also capturing as much personality, life and storytelling in her images as possible.
I'm a Boston Wedding and Family Photographer with a natural, relaxed and unobtrusive approach. I studied documentary photography at the Maryland Institute of Art and the University of Wales. I was honored and delighted to receive the Grand Prize at the Nikon Discovery Awards, be selected for the 25 Under 25 Up and Coming American Photographers and show my work through exhibitions and publications. I began using my own approach to wedding and family photography and immediately fell in love with the job as I love being around people and capturing interactions and emotions.
My photography style has been shaped by my own children and grandchildren. I wasn't content with occasional family shoots or snapshots. I wanted to capture each persons unique personality. Now as a grandfather, I want pictures that are honest, genuine, and authentic. I'm passionate about helping families find beauty in the ordinary moments of life! There's nothing more beautiful than the delight of child, an intimate moment between a dad and his son, or the tender expressions of love between a mom and her daughter. These everyday moments seem so ordinary, but when captured through pictures, become more treasured over time. Your family is beautiful and deserves to be photographed. I love capturing unscripted moments that are genuine and hones. No dress 'em up, size 'em up, line em up, and shoot em up. No wonder people don't care for family photo sessions! I believe that real is the new beautiful. All you need to do is relax and be yourself. Don't worry about having the right look or pose, or even what you should wear. I will spend time with you and your family capturing beautiful moments that you will treasure. I would be honored to photograph you and your family!
Ben sent one OKCupid message in early 2016 about cupcakes, and that was all it took to sweep Rebecca off her feet. Oh, and a beard. A few dates, a proposal, and a wedding later, you're all caught up. We're music lovers, gamers, movie buffs and all around nerds—proud nerds. And while we enjoy these fun activities, our real passion is to love others. Just like you, we love our life despite its struggles and imperfections. We resist the social media image of the perfect life. That's why we celebrate real moments of real lives. Everyone has clutter, wrinkles, embarrassments—but no one is quite as good at being you as you. That's what we hope you see in our photos.
Janine has been photographing weddings and families in the Omaha area for 15 years! She is inspired by silly people, endearing mothers, and adorable grandpas. She is skilled in photographing people in their element and getting a good laugh out of just about anyone. You can often find Janine "swinging from the fences" to get her amazing shots...literally and figuratively. It's not uncommon for her to climb a tree or to the top of a car to where she needs to be. In Janine's "downtime" you can find her loving her husband and four kids, going on long runs, and laughing with her lady friends.
Mariann Szucs has been photographing professionally for 20 years. After graduating from Western CT State University with a photography and art degree she has been creating family and kids portraits in New York City and metro area. Mariann's portrait style is fresh, modern and relaxed.
I've contemplated long and hard every single day since I've picked up a camera about why I do what I do and what motivates me. I think about what it means to me and about what it means to other people. There are a few reasons, some have changed, some haven't. The few that drives them all are human connection, relationships, and vulnerability. I feel I have a responsibility to photograph present reality for the sake of human history and future nostalgia. It is very easy for me to connect with people, whether it be my clients or a stranger on the street. I love knowing that through my chosen medium I am able to gain new perspectives of this life, one person at a time. I feel honored and blessed to be able to wake up every morning and tell stories through photographs.
I am married to a wonderful, supportive man who I fell in love with when I was 18. We have 5 children who we home school which means, we do life together, and God uses each of us to teach and help each other each and every day. We encourage our children to think for themselves and always look for ways to help others. We seek to speak life and truth into them and want them to know that they are capable of creating and doing amazing things because we know and serve an amazing God. I’m an ENFP, I like to teach, craft, bake, read, learn new things, create, have deep conversations with my kids and husband, explore the outdoors, travel (we love road trips!) and of course, document life with my camera! I would love to document the beautiful memories. Whether it be your beautiful baby bump, the Birth Story of your little one you've waited 9 months to meet or a Newborn Session capturing all the precious tiny details. I would love to document your Family Story, in whatever journey you are on. I want to show you how your ordinary is in fact extraordinary. How there is beauty in the mess.
I am a documentary photographer, a visual storyteller, from Salt Lake City, Utah. I am passionate about capturing powerful, intimate experiences in the sometimes messy but beautiful story of life. My images embrace real people, real emotion, and real life. My work can be seen in the permanent exhibits at the Natural History Museum of Utah. Also, In 2012, I traveled with the Museum to document the techniques and lives of Navajo Basket Weavers in south-eastern Utah, for a special exhibit entitled, Weaving a Revolution. Images were utilized in large exhibit form in the traveling space at the Natural History Museum of Utah, as well as a large coffee table style book, both designed by the team at the museum, documenting the Renaissance that these incredible Navajo artists started in the Monument Valley region. Additionally, I was commissioned by the Natural History Museum of Utah to create thousands of portraits for the Genetic Trait Tree, the local aspect to the special exhibit developed and produced by the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History entitled Genome: Unlocking Life’s Code. I have also had the honor of traveling with the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Champions Ambassador Tour for the past 3 years; documenting the Champions as they meet with their state representatives, celebrities, corporate sponsors, and even President Obama and First Lady Michele Obama. Events included: ceremonies on stage, concerts, fund raising, and behind the scenes relationships to provide an overall feel of the exciting and high energy trip. My Education: I have an Associates Degree in Photography, and a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Visual Communications from Weber State University. Working towards a Masters Degree in the near future.
My photography roots began with a career in photojournalism. I found immense joy getting to discover the communities I lived in while shooting for the local newspapers and having the opportunity to document people’s daily lives. That documentation of daily life is what I am now bringing to my portrait sessions – telling the stories of you and your family: Those every day simple things that we may take for granted. Those little moments that you will want to remember forever. The natural interactions of you with your family.
I'm Neil, a photographer with a love for natural moments, open spaces and beautiful sunlight. A product of the 80s and 90s raised on New England snowstorms, bike rides, camping trips, and pool parties. My photographs are light and airy, rich with emotion and unexpected details. Inspired by vintage cameras, the minimalism of Hiroshi Sugimoto, the color blue, the 1960s, indie bands from Brooklyn, warm oceans, palm trees and the fashion photography of Rodney Smith, I create images that are calm, clean, joyful and real. Forever an explorer, while wandering the world I crossed paths with Lisa, a fellow adventurer and creative. The love of my life, we've been together ever since. Our photography styles are different but complementary. While I'm dreaming up images inspired by the sky and sea, Lisa is often focused on smaller details, how tightly you're holding hands, the embroidery of your wedding dress, or your shadows as you cross the dunes. Together we live in Nags Head on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. It's a small town, with lots of visitors. We live and work in a small, but tall, house. Just close enough to the beach to run out for an afternoon surf or a walk in the dunes when needed. Natural moments and beautiful locations are the heart of our photography. Our wedding days are fun and relaxed. Filled with the casual laughter of friends, joyful moments while surrounded by the coastal beauty of the Outer Banks, and maybe even some time alone with just the bride and groom as the sun sets and the daylight disappears. We would love to be your photographers and we hope you'll connect with us if you have plans to visit the Outer Banks we would love to meet you for coffee at our place.
I seek to capture natural, authentic photos of my clients. For the last 20 years, I have worked with people from all walks of life to create images that truly reflect their personalities. My style evolved out of my own self-conscious nature. I didn't want my clients to feel uncomfortable or overly posed. I want to bring out the best of them and you!
Drink coffee, chase moments, tell stories. Repeat. We are a husband and wife team who are crazy about each other, best friends, passionate followers of Christ, lovers of all things coffee, history buffs, wannabe travelers – who got our first dose of the awesomeness that is photography back in 2007. We didn’t know this adventure was on the horizon, but when it hit, man… It hit us both pretty hard and we were HOOKED. Looking back, we could never have guessed where this journey would take us. The BEST part of this adventure is navigating it together, for sure. It may sound sappy, but we are best friends who spend every day together, and for us, it just works. Way back before photography, we had separate careers, separate schedules and it just wasn’t any fun. This is definitely better. We love to have fun. In fact, it’s going to be a requirement that you do, too. We think great things can be accomplished through good old-fashioned happiness. Moment driven photography is what we’re about. An authentic image, whether sweet or silly, happy or sad, is going to stir something in you every time you see it. And THAT is what we’re ultimately hoping for the opportunity to provide you. Real images, stirring images, beautiful images. Blessings, MIKE + JULIE
I love capturing REAL, DAY IN AND DAY OUT, MESSY, CRAZY, BEAUTIFUL LIFE in photographs. I love telling stories about the world around me through my photographs, especially the seemingly mundane daily life of family and love and friends and anything that is real and normal and part of the life we all live. Sometimes we forget to let every little memory seep into our souls. That's what photos do for me. They make me FEEL the memories. When I look back at our old family albums I am transported back in space and time to the actual moment happening. I know the sights, sounds, and smells. I'm drawn back into the memories. Especially the ones I forget to remember. I want my family to be able to FEEL their memories this way. And I also want YOU to be able to look back on your story and feel the memories. This is what I do. I help people document their stories. Their memories. Their lives. That's my goal. TO HELP YOU SEE THE VALUE OF DOCUMENTING YOUR LIFE.
I spend my time in two different ways. Taking pictures and hanging out with my wife Allie Leaf. Sometimes both at the same time when we are shooting together. Before I photographed weddings I worked as a photojournalist for three years. Photographing everything from local news stories, entertainment events like Irish step dancing or Wayne Brady, and any sport imaginable from football to roller derby, even a chicken wing eating competition! This is where I learned everything about telling real stories in every circumstance. Making the transition to weddings and lifestyle really natural.
I love my family, photography, nature and yoga. I've been a photographer for 15 years. I worked as a photojournalist and multimedia photographer for Sun-Times Media in the Chicago area for six years and I've been photographing weddings and families for ten. My work has been recognized by the National Press Photographer's Association, Women in Photojournalism, Editor and Publisher, Illinois Press Photographer's Association, Illinois Press Association and Illinois Associated Press. I have a master's degree in environmental studies. I live in the Capital Region of Upstate New York with my husband and six-year-old son.
Having grown up in California and New Jersey, I feel very at home on both coasts. Once we moved the California I spend most of my time in or by the pool. I became a competitive swimmer and swam through college at UCSD. After college I moved to NYC where I work and lived for 8 years. Although I sometimes miss the city, I'm happy to be back in San Diego. My relationships with my friends and family have always been important to me. Before I knew it was, I was documenting my life, I took tons of pictures. I covered my childhood bedroom with 100's of these photographs— 2 and a half walls. Over the years, I had the opportunity to travel for fun and for swimming. My photos evolved from snapshots of friends to documenting my trips and experiences. As a professional photographer, I've worked to combine documentary photography with my passion and eye for capturing special and candid moments with loved ones and my clients.
Alison graduated from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, with degrees in Journalism and English. Before launching her photography business in 2007, Alison worked with news publications including Sports Illustrated, the Oakland Tribune, the Modesto Bee, Tacoma News Tribune and the Durham Herald Sun.
My name is Rachel and I want to tell your family's story. I am a lifestyle and documentary family photographer and I am dedicated to capturing your life as it is today - the fun, the love, the messes, and all of the little moments that make your family unique. Your life is beautiful. Seasons of Life Photography is Central NC's premier family photojournalist. I capture the beautiful moments that get lost in everyday life and preserve them for years to come. Located in Chapel Hill, NC and serving Orange, Chatham, Adamance, Durham, Wake, Randolph and the surrounding counties in Central NC.
I am a family documentary photographer who has made it a bit of a personal mission to GET MOM IN THE PICTURE. Well, that, and a whole pile of dairy free*, genuine family moments. It's not all about Mom, but as a mom myself who doesn't find her way into enough photos with my kiddo, I wanted to create a niche service for my local mamas whom I know can relate! * just say no to "cheese!" ... haha get it? "cheese"... dairy free... My husband and I adopted our daughter in 2016 and I've been hoping he'd develop the ability to recognize a moment with me and her that maybe I'd appreciate a photo of ever since! Can you relate? I think a lot of moms can and that's why I'm here and that's why I've chosen documentary family photography as my focus. I want to help you see your family from another perspective, one that includes you, not one that feels forced from feeling annoyed enough to make Dad take a picture of you. (I have some of those!)
I have always loved photography. Since I was little, I was fascinated with preserving memories, making sure I could look back on them years later. Growing up as the youngest of three children, our life was busy but full of love. From an early age, I was able to find a way to capture a moment and preserve it forever. Photography is that avenue for me to hold onto moments and revisit them whenever I want to. Being a wife and a mother, I know how quickly life flies by. That's why I work hard for every one of my clients to bottle up a moment in their lives that they can hold onto forever. I truly am blessed to be able to do what I love with a goofy husband and son to always be my driving force.
As a father of 3, I know how crazy parenthood is. I also know how fast time goes by and how important it is to record those fleeting moments that make up this wild thing we call 'life'. That is why I feel, more strongly then ever, that it is very crucial to be as unobtrusive as I can be when making photographs of families so that I do not interrupt those moments that make this whole thing worthwhile and precious. To document those little moments that you will look back on and make you smile is not just for you, the parent, but more so for your children. For them to have an honest record of how your life and family were in truth. Life is too short not to.
As visual storytellers, our photographs are emotional, natural and unrehearsed. Our documentary photo style allows our subjects to be transported not just back to the moment, but back to the feeling, the excitement and the emotion that makes the moment worth remembering. This is our mission. We are a husband-wife team who are passionate about our work and dedicated to our goal. Our enthusiasm for the job and friendly personalities are contagious, allowing us to create a comfortable environment for our subjects.
Influenced by a background in photojournalism, I strive to not only make beautiful and creative photographs of your family, but photos that capture the real emotion, candid moments, and unique personalities. After graduating from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2006 with a degree in Photojournalism, I spent six years as a newspaper photojournalist in New York and Nebraska, before moving back to my home state of Vermont where my wife and I have been photographing weddings and families since 2012.
I believe that the best stories are the ones that are true, told with energy, genuineness, humor and a little bit of poetry. I am a documentary family photographer and mother to a toddler. Also having been an elementary school speech therapist means I am extremely observant and patient, acutely aware of mischief, and constantly dealing with situations bursting with hilarity, chaos and sticky hands & hugs. This photography business came from an intersection of so many different aspects of my life – my love for traveling and subsequently, being invited into peoples’ homes; my fascination with National Geographic stories; my research into my grandparents’ immigration history; my interest in all things behind-the-scenes. When I discovered family documentary photography, it’s like all these pieces clicked from these seemingly disconnected sources and allowed me to do everything simultaneously – live alongside people in a day in their life; create heirlooms for families so that grandchildren wouldn’t have to work so hard to know where they came from; to make personal documentaries for people who might never appear in National Geographic but have still lived a life worth living. To me, documenting the everyday in this way is like receiving permission to draw stories out of strangers, and to create family photographs reflecting life itself: a series of interactions that make up the totality of a human life, much more than the words that make up a story, the cascade of moments making up your day that deserve to be documented, and the sense of "home" and the love that surrounds you daily. I think our world has been very loud about how we/our children should be (act/look/behave), and through my experience shooting 200+ families, I have found that the perfection that the family portrait strives for is typically attained after a sweaty stressfest. If you are looking for an alternative, I believe that family photojournalism is all about authenticity and unreluctant vulnerability, and being able to remember how you felt (exasperated, relieved, joyful, expectant, or like you love your kids so fiercely you feel like your heart is going to burst) instead of how you wanted to look (sorry Pinterest!). When not photographing families and small businesses, you can find me trying to Konmari my tiny house, chasing my toddler, being a first class navigator to my husband on a family road trip, or looking for local gems in pockets of Los Angeles.
Thank you for your interest in the lifestyle and family portraits of Brittney Longo Photography. I am a Los Angeles transplant, moving to beautiful Colorado Springs a few years ago. I have been with the love of my life for over 15 years and married to him for 10 of those. We have two beautiful children who are my inspiration. I studied at the Fashion Insitute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles and I have a love for all things creative. I am a natural light photographer and Colorado gives me a beautiful backdrop. I split my time between Colorado and Arizona. Before getting behind the camera, I spent time in front of it, giving me a deeper understanding of how photography works, how angles work and how to capture the best images. When I'm not behind the camera, I love spending time with my family, crafting, baking, and reading.
Hi, I’m Ashley Soeder. An internationally recognized and award winning lifestyle/documentary family photographer, located in Rouleau Saskatchewan, serving Southern Saskatchewan. Photography found me shortly after the birth of my second daughter. Sitting on the floor with my children, watching them build with blocks, or play with their favourite toy I began to notice how when the light shone through the window and touched down on them, it created an almost magical moment. I began to become aware of the light and soon found myself framing photographs with my mind wherever I went. I picked up my first DSLR camera in 2014 and have been chasing the light and soaking up every bit of knowledge ever since. With a dedication and commitment to learning I am always taking workshops and courses to further improve my skills and help push my creativity. I spend sessions capturing your family, the connections, the moments, the relationships, the small gestures. I lead clients through sessions allowing space and freedom to explore and be yourselves. I want to help you remember all of the little details that make your family unique. I want to capture the real and honest moments, your everyday life moments, the fun, the silliness, the quiet, and loud moments. Capturing those moments when their little hand reaches for yours, celebrating small milestones, and letting your true personalities shine. Whether it’s the big moments or the small ones, in-home sessions or the park adventures. The real faces, the tiny gestures, and little details. I want to help you preserve all the details and memories that make your family what it is today.

I love the desert, Boston Terriers and bright colorful sneakers. I am married to a fellow photojournalist who shares my passion for photography and adventure. I consider myself a storyteller who creates unique, thoughtful, artistic and candid photographs that will last a lifetime.
I live in the small town of Lincoln, Vermont, with my husband, two cats, and a rambunctious flock of backyard chickens. Since moving to Vermont in 2012, I have photographed over 100 weddings. My husband and I work together, photographing weddings in a documentary style allowing you to relive your wedding day through your images. Besides photography, I am inspired by nature - I love taking a walk in the woods, going for a hike, or going for a swim on a hot summer day in the nearby river.
My love of photography was sparked over fifteen years ago while working for a small-town Texas newspaper. Today, I have turned my passion for photography and storytelling into the business of documenting and preserving your truth with beautiful, heirloom products to enhance your home and your memories. Throughout the process, I focus less on the "studio" stuff and more on making a connection with you, like new friends having a cup of coffee. Turning everyday moments into designer heirloom home decor even your great grandchildren will actually want to display.
I was born in France in 1988 in the beautiful region of Burgundy. For three years now, I have been living in the USA. Love brought me here and makes my life better and better every day. I have been taking pictures since I was a kid. I have started taking professional pictures ten years ago using my camera to tell stories with a journalism aspect. I now want to use my knowledge to photograph your family with my unique point of view on photography. Your family is a story and my job is to describe it through my photos. As a photojournalist, I have won many international photo competitions, and have been selected for many collective exhibitions in Paris, Great Britain, and Finland. My personal work is an important part of my photography skills.
Your family means everything to you. You want to hold on to the fleeting moments that pass all too quickly. Tiny expressions that define who they are, they way they move their hands when they talk, how they play with each other and with you. Hello, I am Bobbi Barbarich, an award-winning photographer from Nelson BC. My work focuses on how to capture the essence of your family's relationships. While we might spend a few minutes creating a posed portrait, that's not why you'd hire me. You want images that will bring you back to this time in their tender infancy, their exuberant toddler curiosity, their awkward pre-teen years, their bodies as they morph into adults, and your parents as they begin to slow down. I grew up in northern Alberta, dreaming of a travel photographer's life as I meandered in wheat fields and tried to take pictures of bugs and barbed wire. I've now been a professional photographer for 10 years, attending college in Edmonton, Alberta and moving to Nelson BC thereafter to photograph people living their lives to the fullest. While I didn't grow to become a travel photographer, my curiosity about life and illustrating with my camera did lead me to something I feel is more important: the lives we live every day. Let me capture that for you, so you and your future generations can cherish it as you do.
I am an Australian living in the U.S. with my husband and two kids. When my kids moved out of diapers, I took a breath and picked up my husband's Nikon D90 and began, slowly, teaching myself manual photography. I was sick of photographing our family moments using Instagram. I wanted to have full control of the images I was creating. I love to photograph the freehearted, honest and unguarded moments. I try to capture joy. I also try to capture ‘realness’, which is not always picture-perfect. I prefer (I am more comfortable) shooting in natural light with limited posing and props. My passion is to photograph moments that go unnoticed, that may be overlooked - may even be unpleasant. I believe one day you will want a record of what life really looked like for you, at that point in time.
My experience with photography starts with a six-year-old boy holding up lights for his dad at a party. When we arrive home, my dad gives me his state-of-the-art Hasseblad camera's detachable back and teaches me to rewind the film. For me it was all fun, but what I didn't realize is that with my father's instructions, he was preparing me for my own future profession. I went to photography school at Focus in Sao Paulo, Brazil at the age of 16. And now, thousands of weddings, events, studio shots, aerial photos, and family photos later, this is still what I do and what I love. Ueda (pronounced "WAY-da") is the name my father chose to be his when he started his business as a Japanese man in Brazil over 50 years ago, and I am carrying it on now as a Brazilian man in the United States. My style is photojournalism. I enjoy the art of photography which lies in capturing the perfect moment when something beautiful is expressed: an emotion, a relationship, an idea. Romulo Ueda
I believe in preserving unfiltered moments of today so you can relive them in the future. I had no idea I would love being a mother until I became one. I believe less is more when it comes to TV, processed food and being perfect. Have kids, still travel. Passing my wanderlust onto my wee one is at the top of my list. Dancing is as normal to me as walking, especially if it is in the kitchen during meal prep time. Riding a bike in a dress on date night is how I roll. My tiny human rocks her trike in a dress too. Eating a meal as a family is my favorite part of my day. Home cooked food is the way to my heart. I speak dog and my husband is trying to teach me to speak cat. I believe everyday unpolished life is beautiful.
For me, photography is all about capturing people in the most natural and honest way. My goal is to tell a story through photos that capture feeling in each moment. I love how something that happens so quickly can be photographed in a unique way and remembered forever. Anyone who's ever hired me knows I strive for authenticity...whatever you do it should be real and honest and you'll see the difference. I put my heart and soul into every shoot I do no matter who I am working with I give everyone my absolute best, this is my passion and I consider myself blessed to do what I love for a living!" I've been doing what I love for over 16 years now, locally and internationally!! Thanks to everyone who has ever hired me and trusted my vision, I have met so many amazing people and I hope to continue my journey as a photographer for many years to come.
I have been a family photographer and wedding photographer in the Omaha Metro area for 9 years! Preserving my own family's history is so precious to me that naturally, documenting them for other families is a genuine passion of mine. As a parent there is nothing more special than having images that remind you of your family as it is now...quirks, cries, laughs, and all. As a mom, seeing the photos of me and my son in our goofiest and quietest moments means everything, and I want you to have the same. They say you photograph what you love...I love life and my family...and I hope you can see that in my work. Learning to shoot with my heart and my gut...learning to see love in every form of a family is a specialty of mine. I'd love to document what your family's love looks like.

I am the Jucelino, Christian, cheerful, and teller of beautiful stories. I am 23 years old, where 3 of those years dedicated to photography, mainly family. Photography came to my life by accident, in a way that was unintentional, and was then a way and a desire without return, I fell in love with this wonderful art, and portrait the life of many families through my eyes and my photography. A lover of family photography! Photography is everywhere, all the time and hourly. I believe very much in her power to keep our stories. These stories can never be forgotten. It is for these and other reasons that I am a photographer, I have this mission to tell and keep the family history!
Hi, I'm Carol Pires! I like to talk, I like to look in the eyes, to laugh, to drink good wine, to read before bed. I ask about everything, I'm interested in the lives of others, not others on the TV, but the others you. I like to listen to stories, I like to build stories. In fact, I like people who are protagonists of life itself. When I was a child I used to play dolls. Well, anyone remembers? I used to play house, to be a mother. He was joking about having a family, having a husband and a job. And did not that happen? Today I am crazy with love for Francisco, my little puppy that is under my wing, opa! mother owl, I'm married to photographer Tulio Thomé and together we built our life that is not a commercial, phew! It's real life, as I've always wanted! And why photo? Photography is the medium I've found for more than 10 years where I find myself more comfortable doing what I love: connecting with people, having fun and looking at the beautiful! So I put everything together: photography, families, people, women, memories, colors, images, stories. This is my job and that's what I love to do!
I am an award-winning photographer based in Warsaw, Poland. I have over ten years experience in family photography. My approach is unobtrusive and discreet, which allows me to capture you just as you are. I enjoy working with professionals, but also with little, clumsy, and uncooperative models like babies, children, and pets. As the father of Hanna (1,5 YO) and Frank (3,5 YO), I do have personal experience with babies and children! I am known as an on-site photographer and will continue to offer those services. However, I recently opened a photography studio. I don't photograph newborns in baskets, buckets, or dressed as pets or flowers. I believe the best newborn photography is a baby in the loving arms of family.
Hi, I'm Cris, a Rio photographer, married, Caio's mother, talkative by nature, happy with life, and passionate about the power of photography since a very young age. I have been a professional photographer since 2013 and since then I have had the joy of sharing happy moments with several families who believed that I could tell the story of their lives through images. I have always tried to capture the essence of the people I photograph in a spontaneous and relaxed way. I graduated in Letters by the UERJ. I passed the state contest, but in the middle, I gave up everything, it was not what I wanted for the rest of my life. I really wanted to photograph. I went after my big dream: to give families memories, with sweet memories!!!
Hello! I'm Bruno and I love helping families to collect their memories. I'm from Rio de Janeiro / Brazil but I'm a destination photographer. My passion for photography began as photographed, seeing me in the old family albums and trying to relive all those moments. That deepened when I graduated in Visual Arts 10 years ago. The power of a keepsake is something that makes my eyes shine and providing this is very rewarding. I'm in the photographic industry for some years, which allowed me to photograph families, births, weddings, teach workshops and win some awards. Want to know more? Get in touch :)
Shooting for me is so much more than just working, it's feeling free and full of love, that's when I feel more fulfilled and happy. The photograph came very early in my life, as a child I hoped that my brother would ask me to "hit" a photo on his camera, a compact analogue. I always enjoyed seeing the photos my grandmother kept, they were the ones that were inside a monocle, remember? I liked it when someone arrived with a newly revealed movie so that I could literally take the photos and see which ones were good and which ones "burned". The first opportunity I had I bought my first camera, a compact one, that I loved and photographed everything and everything, was a great companion, as it was stolen, then soon replaced by another one, since I could not stay one day without photographing something, since then I had several cameras, until I got a super zoom of Fuji from my husband (and encouragement). With so much encouragement from my mother-in-law Celia and my sister-in-law Angela, I decided to enroll in a basic photography course where I fell completely in love with the profession and decided there that was what I wanted for my whole life; then came several and several workshops and a while later I graduated from Senac Jundiaí and since then only love has been growing. I spent a season living in the city of Seattle that is in the State of Washington one of the most beautiful of the United States and I also met the city of New York. In Seattle, I was able to experience the day-to-day lives of Americans and how is life there, if I photographed? Of course, I could not go back there without having done beautiful work. Traveling is a love that goes hand in hand for me. The main objective of my work is to photograph children and their families in a natural, relaxed, light climate with a focus on daytime photographs, mainly external essays and birthdays. I like to show spontaneity, a smile, a look, a joke, creating true memories and with a lot of feeling to keep with affection for life.
I was born in Manchester almost 30 years ago to my eclectic fashion designer Mum and entrepreneurial Dad. Growing up I absolutely loved the indie, vibrant, musical, grimy, authentic vibe of Manchester and it served me well as a backdrop for all my creative endeavours. I was always in the school art room and constantly making a mess of my parents home with my collecting and collaging. I was always the one following my friends around with my vintage film cameras at all the gigs, nights out and Oasis concerts. In 2012 I graduated from Central Saint Martins art school in London with a BA in fine art photography and went on to start my photography business full time. I've had my photography featured both online, in magazines and in galleries in London, New York, and Tel Aviv. I've photographed everything from births to boudoir, from street photography to celebrity portraits but one of the most beautiful parts of my job is photographing people, families, friends and children just being themselves, enjoying life. What I love most about lifestyle photography is that it's memorable, it feels authentic, charged, emotional and real. With minimal posing the images capture life and love as it truly is, and therefore treasured forever.
My name is Ricardo Henrique and I am a photographer by conviction. I really believe in the power that photography has. Through it, I know incredible stories, which fascinate me and move me every day, is one of the most important parts of the whole: to know the stories I record.
Brazil Lifestyle Photographer for SCSanto Amaro da Imperatriz in Santa Catarina, BR
I do my very best storytelling work behind the camera when I spend time playing about in the world of a kid’s imagination, where bedrooms become grand castles and a woodland walk transforms into a hunt for bears, Gruffalo’s plus any and all fairy creatures that happen to still be hanging about. I can tease smiles out of the shy, wrangle the over-excited into happy submission and wait out a tantrum without blinking an eye. And that’s just the dads. Toddlers are a breeze in comparison. So if you want honest, heartfelt images of the people you love, I’m the perfect photographer for you.
Better known as Tia Karol, a gaucho resident in Ribeirão Preto, I'm in love with the world of mothering and photography since 2011. I can't talk about my profession, not to mention my family, who really shows who I am and what makes me admire to register the daily life. The smile of everyday life, the jokes, the learning phases, all teach me so much and change my gaze as a photographer day after day. My goal is to be able to photograph each family in their individuality, their personality, that the essence is recorded in a timeless way. I want the smiles to be repeated year after year, the moments to be relived as I look at an image I could have the happiness of making, as I smile when I see the happiness of my family. And with all this love, for families and photographs, I want every person who passes through my lens to become part of this circle of affection as well. May friendships be cultivated, stories shared, and everything done with love and simplicity. With love!
